Welcome to Lilith's Academy, where nothing is what it seems to be. On top of a hill hidden by the forest around it stands a beautiful castle safe from prying eyes. Yet for all it's splendor and beauty, there's something eerie about the beautiful structure. It's the kind of place that people have nightmares about, and had it been empty it would be the perfect place to lock someone in for the night for a bit of a scare. It would be the perfect place to spend Halloween night.... but the place was far from empty.
During the day, Lilith's Academy is a reform school for juvenile delinquents. The students are sent here for a number of reasons, the main one being it was this or prison for every crime that can possibly be committed. These are the students that are not fit for society, who can't be controlled by their parents or by anyone else, yet after a few years at Lilith's they manage to be rehabilitated.
Night is a whole different story.
They say that the students that attend Lilith's night classes are dangerous criminals that can never be released back into the public. Day students speculate that the Night Kids are mass murderers since they are rarely seen, but when they are they look like normal students, a bit a pit paler and more fragile looking. They couldn't be father from the truth.
The Night Kids are dangerous, but they're not criminals. They are vampires.....
--------------------------------------------------------------------
She shouldn't be here. She should be sitting in class like a good student, listen to the instructor drone on and on about the proper way to Feed Without Killing. That was something that concerned the Sanguines vampires more the Psychologicals. Here at Lilith's, there are to types of vampires. There were the Sanguines, who were the more traditional vampires that fed of blood and blood alone. Then there were the Psych Vamps like her, that not only fed off of blood but memories and emotions. They didn't need to drink blood to feed off of human emotions, so they were able to last a few weeks longer without blood then the Sanguines. Sanguines were created by other Sanguines, while the Psychs were created as the result of a murder which was why there were severely outnumbered by the Sanguines. That was the only difference though. They all burned in the sunlight. Even with their advanced healing abilities, they all died if their heads were removed or heart destroyed. They would probably die if they didn't feed often enough, but only very few vampires here knew what happened to a vampire's body if they were deprived of blood.
They wouldn't go over that in class tonight so there was no point for Alyss Cooper to waste her time. It was such a lovely night... why sit in class when she could enjoy sitting by the lake, basking in the glow of the full moon? More then likely no one would find her here. All the other vampires should be in class, with the humans fast asleep in their beds.

cdn03.cdn.socialitelife.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/jordan-coulter-shirtless-male-model-photos-05102010-39.jpgZero hated it here, he didn't want to be here but there was no where else for him to go. His real parent's vanished a long time ago and his foster parent's didn't really care about him even from the first day. But here he sits in these stupid classes for which he already knows most of the studies that they teach here but this is the only place that there is a roof over his head, meals and something to do. Zero stares blankly at the teacher giving a lecture and zones out, the words spouting from his mouth fell on mostly deaf ears. Only the suck-ups were listening but most of the class was just waiting for class to be over. He could slip out easy enough, it was halfway through the class it shouldn't be a problem. So he waited for a few more minutes and then grabbed his things and slipped out of the classroom. Zero had done it many times before and the teacher had yet to find out or didn't really care. Though he was sure that he was going to be called to the dean's office soon cause for a Sanguines to be missing classes was bad...well to the dean anyways. Zero didn't find it a problem cause he was able to control himself for the most part. That was unless he just wanted to let lose and have fun with a meal. He strolled down the empty hallways of the school just wondering what he should do now since that was the last class of his night, he usually just went back to his room and bullshitted with his roommate but his roommate had gone home for the month to see his family so that left Zero with nothing to do. ((Hope this is ok))

Alyss Cooper glanced over her shoulder before exiting the building. so far, no one was around to see her leave though the massive oak doors. Unfortunately there was nothing she could do to quite the BANG that occurred when the heavy doors swung doors shut so she ran away from the building. Hopefully if someone did come to investigate she would be out of sight when the doors opened.
The light of the full moon struck her blond hair, making it shine like a beacon as she flitted though the trees. She ran until she hit the lake. Positive that she got away without anyone noticing she sat by the calm waters.

Through the empty halls he strode looking at everything around and climbing the staircase in the back of the school. He made his way up every flight of stairs till he was on the roof of the building. He found this place the first few days he was sent to this place, he would come up here every so often to just get away from everyone at this school. He had only been here for about two years now and soon it would be time for him to leave and even though years didn't mean much to him anymore since they just seemed to race by him, but that should be an upside to immortality right? For him it wasn't, he hated to see those around him disappear like his parent's did. No one to stay by you to remember things or enjoy the same thing cause everything changed every few years and things that he knew from when he was actually a teenager or even a kids was gone.
Zero found his perch and sat there looking out over the land the school was surrounded by, the moon making everything glow a beautiful blue or purple. His eyes scanned the area watching for anything in the area and then his steel orbs caught sight of a bright glimmer. He watched it and even from this distances he could tell it was a person and to his knowledge the only people here or even awake should be students of a special kind and the teachers that knew. "Wonder who that could be?" He commented to himself knowing that no one else knew he was here or that they could hear him.

There was no else she rather be then sitting by the lake. The view was just so.... "Beautiful,"
she whispered to no one in particular. The lake was a place she usually came to when she was supposed to be in class. They were a bit more easier on her then others, but only because she had been here for five years and was as old as some of the teachers. Alyss could have left whenever she wanted to, but so far she found no reason to leave. She had a bed. A room. Food. Blood whenever she found a human roaming the campus. No friends though. You would think psyc vamps would be social butterflies since they thrived on emotions, but Alyss was as antisocial as they came. She picked up a pebble and tossed it into the lake. She watched as the ripples ruined the lake's mirror surface, reminding of the life she had before. Once, she had had a family. Once, she had been married. But all of that was taken from her when HE turned her into this monster.... subconsciously her hand drifted to the pearly white scar around that managed to stand out on her pale skin. It was a reminder of the past, a past she didn't want to think about. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Zero just watched the person wondering why there were sitting by the lake and for what reason. He liked to talk with the others here, get a new view on things that they had experienced and see if anyone felt how he did. "Well there isn't anything else to do" he said to himself and rose from the spot that he had been sitting at. As he stood at the edge he looked down at the building and planned out the route he would take, this was one of the many reasons he like to come up here. After doing that he jumped from his perch and landed on a protruding window and continued down faster then anyone could see...well to the humans that was. Then he landed softly next to the building and strolled away like he hadn't just jumped from at least 30 stories up.
He chose his path to the lake so that he wouldn't alert the other person but to a nice spot on the lakes edge near them. He stood there staring out at the water watching the newly formed ripples acting as if he was ignoring the person. He wasn't sure if he was even going to say anything but maybe this could be fun, he didn't recognize the girl so this would be a new experience for him, that was unless she just walked away.

Not very many people were aware of her little getaway, and that was the way Alyss liked it. If no one knew about it, there would be no one around to bother her. It was just her alone with her thoughts... just like it always was. Although she would never admit it to anyone, not even herself, she was lonely and longed for company. But it was so much easier to be alone then to try to get close someone. What if they betrayed her again? It wasn't a risk she was willing to take.
Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted a she felt another presence approaching. She could feel his approach before her hearing picked him up, and as he neared she could feel his emotions. Unfortunately none of them were interesting enough to catch her attention. She felt his curiosity just like she felt his eyes on her. 'No doubt wondering why he's never seen me before.'
Alyss didn't socialize, not with the other vampires although occasionally she was known to pick up stray human students and "befriending" them before drinking their blood and emotions. Maybe if Alyss ignored him long enough, he would go away. She had a feeling he wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon though. "Can I help you?" She asked, raising a pale eyebrow. 'Maybe he'll leave me alone if I talk to him.' Again she doubted it, but it was certainly worth a try. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

He noticed that the air changed slightly knowing full well that she probably didn't want him there. He would feel the same way if she just all of a sudden came to his spot in the upper bell tower. But he stayed none the less, even at her words. She wanted to know what she could help him with...well nothing really. He just wanted to see who she was and what she was up to cause he was bored but she didn't seem like she wanted anyone else around let alone talking to her. Zero stared at her, studying her to see what she was all about. But rather then saying something he just turned and maybe his way back toward the school, finding the interaction not worth his time and that he could probably find something better to do back in his room or something like that.

Much to her annoyance, instead of answering her question the boy decided to ignore it. Instead he turned his back to her like he was going to walk back towards the school. Her annoyance spiked and almost turned into anger as she felt his lack of interest. 'Do people dislike me THAT much?'
Ok, so maybe she hated people and did her best to stay away from them, and she didn't get along with them all that well, but that didn't give him the right to intrude on her then walk away! Alyss opened her mouth to say something else to him, but thought better of it. Instead she kept her mouth closed and looked away, as if the single leaf floating on the lake's surface was much more interesting then someone like HIM. 'He isn't worth my time,' she decided. Suddenly the tower bell rang, signaling the time for what should have been lunch. This time it was her turn to turn her back on him as she wordlessly walked past him, moving so close the fabric of their clothing nearly brushed. Surprisingly she actually felt hurt at his dismissal. 'No matter. I'm better off alone.' Yet even as she thought the words her hand drifted back up to the scar on her neck as she glanced back at him, but she walked on at a pace that would have made it easy for a human to catch up to her with little effort. He never figured that his little plan to have fun would work, though he was only playing all of this by ear it was still turning out to be lots of fun. However as the bell tolled he lifted his head to stare up at the school but his attention was taken away from his thoughts as he felt her brush him and he felt a charge. There was no way that with the open area that she would brush up next to him like that, maybe she was trying to tell him that she didn't like his little stun back there but he noticed her pace slow and he was quickly catching up with her. Before he caught up with her he watched her bring her hand up to her neck and his brows knitted together wondering what she was doing. As his thought passed from him he was walking next to her now feeling the air was different. "The lake is beautiful and peaceful isn't it" he said softly next to her, his eyes wandering to the corner of his eye to look at her neck but not staring for more then a second and he stared back in front of him. "The school... not so much huh?" It wasn't really a question but more of a statement.

It didn't take long for him to catch up to her. As he spoke, she tried not to seem surprised that her plan actually worked yet she couldn't help but be relieved. At his words she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. "The lake is very beautiful isn't it? It's the perfect place to go when you want to be left alone."
The corner of her lips twitched to what could have passed for a smile. "But I have to disagree with you. The school itself might not be very beautiful, but I love the castles. You don't see very many structures like this in good condition. Most of them are little more then ruins." Conversations didn't come easy for her so it was a challenge to make her words flow and sound effortless. It had been much too long since she talked to someone who was a fellow student. Alyss noticed him glance at her neck. Wordlessly she let her hand fall to her side, not caring that the ugly jagged scar that stretched from one end of her neck to the other as if someone had slit her throat open was visible. If she tried she could cover it with makeup, but she liked to keep it as a bit of a reminder. "I'm Alyss," she decided to say. "Alyss Cooper." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

He wasn't sure what to say now since he hadn't planned out a conversation with her but here he was now with nothing to say. He shrugged his shoulders at her words, he wasn't good at conversations with girls to be honest but this it shouldn't last long. She probably just wanted to get off to lunch and he would probably head off to his room. "Zero Caldwell" was all he said as he continued to walk, his mind still wandering a lot. At this school it was best to keep your thoughts blank or always running cause you never know when a physic vampire was around. "but despite the school being a castle this place is just...not what I had pictured I'd be spending my time" he said in a monotone. He wasn't one to show his emotions a lot, just because doing that didn't really get him anywhere that he wanted to be.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Zero,"
It was nice to be able to talk to someone who was in control of their emotions, but unfortunately that meant she wasn't able to feed off of them. Vampire emotions weren't all that nourishing anyways, not like a human's. In a few days they would let the students out for the weekend, where she was planning on going to a local bar, picking up a human, and feeding off of his memories.... his words pulled her from her thoughts. "You mean you can't leave anytime you wanted?" She asked. Even though she had been here for a while, she couldn't imagine being stuck in one place for so long. He gave her a quick look and the corner of his lips turned up slightly but not enough to be related to a smile, but that was his smile. "As it is a pleasure for me to meet you Alyss" he said and opened the door for her to walk him. He wasn't sure how to respond to her question, he hadn't meant to say it like that but looking at it there was some truth to her question. He had no where to go, no one to see and no real errand to run in the town filled with humans. Except for the fact of feeding for which he hardly did that. Zero would go months without feeding prompting some long discussions from the dean or a counselor. They had called him anorexic at one point and that pissed him off even though he didn't show it. Zero was far from anorexic he just didn't feel like feeding all the time probably cause he was too afraid that his past would catch up to him and he would just end up confused and out of place again. "It's complicated" he said not really to be secretive but it was the best answer that he could think of for now.

Alyss walked though the door but not before giving him a knowing glance. Unlike him she didn't HAVE to be here. She would leave whenever she wanted to. After all, a three-hundred-and-something-year-old vampire like her was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She had quite a bit of money saved up in various accounts that have collected interest throughout the years, with various valuable objects stored in numerous places. If she were to sell one she would have enough to buy her own home with enough money left over to live off of for a year. But there was a certain group of vampires that wanted her dead. That was the only reason why she was still at Lilith's. "Life is always complicated, especially one as long as ours."
She entered the great hall where the food was set on long elegant tables. Vampires didn't need to eat nearly as often as humans, but the need for food when blood wasn't enough was still there. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
