Beach, beach, beach, Seledine mused until she smiled brightly and began pushing buttons, pulling levers, and even pushing and pulling some very odd looking metal knobs. The ship started to make a whirring noise, everything beginning to shake a bit. Looking up in the middle of piloting she gave Zach a wink. "I would hold on. This baby can be a bit bumpy." She warned with a laugh in her voice.
As she continued to pilot the ship got rockier. She had the perfect place in mind, her stomach seeming to start craving some amazing seafood when Zach had mentioned the beach. Lovely oceans with not a large piece of land in site. The oceans were only a few feet deep, excluding the pit towards the south of the planet. The local inhabitants worshiped the pit, saying that it was a sea creature's cave. Of course that was preposterous but Seledine wasn't going to argue with them.
At one point in time, Sele was using her feet to help with the steering. Her shoes were green converse, her favorite due to a certain shoe preference of HIM. It didn't take long for them to get to where she wanted them to go, the landing was incredibly rough; the last jolt throwing Seledine down while she laughed. Oh how fun it was to her. Always exciting. Always. Standing up, she looked towards Zach and smiled.
"We are now on planet Calastia Ten. It has some of the best seafood and the clearest waters you will ever be witness too." She explained but walked up to him and laid a hand on his shoulder. "It is rather warm though so you should go get changed. Follow me!" She exclaimed, knowing that she should dawn on her usual attire with a bathing suit underneath. This would be fun. Turning away from him, she began walking towards a hallway that was tucked away in an area you might not notice at first.

Zach didn't expect the traveling device to even really work, or that it would actually toss and turn roughly. He gripped the railing behind him, trying to steady himself against the movements. Of course, Sel was laughing like a mad explorer. It was funny in a way, so much so he couldn't help a smile when everything suddenly stopped forcefully enough to send her to the ground. "Calastia Ten?" It sounded interesting but he also had to remember this was another planet. Things could be so much different, with very few similarities of what he was used to. He really didn't have a plan for how to react to any of the situations that came at him. It was going to be complex...but exciting. "Uh sure if you have anything lighter that I could use." He said when he remembered he was still in a coat and clothing fit for a winter in New York, not a hot beach. She lead him down halls that he hardly had seen in the beginning some long enough that he began to wonder just how big the inside of this thing was. Thing...for some reason he didn't feel comfortable calling her a thing. 'Her? It's a machine. It doesn't have a gender.' He thought in an attempt to follow logic, but something inside of him denied it. In fact something inside of him felt so accustomed to this place, completely at ease despite it all being so new. He walked around the hall with her, looking to Sel for confirmation of where exactly she was headed.

"Male and female clothing are mixed in, so just choose whatever you want. It used to be more organized but I kind of just decided to stop bothering with it." Seledine scratched the back of her head with a shrug as she told him this and began the rather confusion way to the wardrobe. First left, second right, third on the left, walk a bit then under the stairs and past the bins until you get to the fifth door on your left. Rolling her eyes at the perfectly complex nature of weaving in and out of doors, Seledine opened up the door to the wardrobe and walked across the metal walkway.
It was a wide open room, if you went to the edge of the walkway then you would see a rather high drop. A large spiral staircase was in the middle of all the hanged clothing, going up and down. Seledine quickly walked strait to where she kept her main clothing, snatching a bathing suit off of a rack on her way there. Coming across her little section, she grabbed a pair of black pants that were somewhere between suit pants and jeans, and a green blouse that had an almost silky sheen to it. She stopped mid way to her usual belts that she wore, her hand brushing up against HIS long brown over coat. Her whole demeanor shifted as she dropped all of her clothing and took the coat off of the rack. She didn't want Zach to think he could wear it and she really just missed HIM so she put on the coat and picked up her clothing, opting instead for a skirt. She was feeling a bit girly today and she could definitley pull off any running or climbing in a bathing suit.
Taking a deep breath she started to exit the wardrobe. "You can find your way back right? Right...." She briefly called out to Zach, flashing him a smile and exiting quickly. She needed to be alone for a moment. She walked back towards the main room, deciding to change in the bathroom as she didn't want to go into her room right now. Bathing suit under neath of her black and green ensemble, she through on HIS over coat and called it an outfit. Her eyebrows rose up though as she found an over-sized pendant on the shower floor. 'So that's were that went', she mused and picked it up. Putting it on, the triangular gem sparkled, shifting between blue and green. She stuck it underneath her blouse, though the tip of it showed as her shirt did show a tad bit of cleavage when not buttoned all the way up. Finally she made it back to the control room and sighed. wrapping herself up in the coat, her heart hurting with the memories that came and went and she did not deny them until she thought she could take no more. A shaky breath cleared her mind and she smiled, forcing all the pain away. Oh, how she needed someone right now and she hoped that Zach would help to distract her and help to keep her busy. ((Kinda went on a weird rant there haha.))

Zach nodded back at her and looked back at the rows of clothes. She left with a coat, a coat that wasn't exactly good for warm weather. He shrugged. What did he know about accessories of foreign planet girls. He looked through the different clothes, finding a pair of swim trunks that were a darker plaid pattern with dark blues blacks and darkish browns, and opted to just keep his jeans and chose just a regular white shirt. It was all simple, the way he liked to dress because it didn't require much thought. He just pulled the stuff on there since Sel was gone and gave a small once over in one of the mirrors. He ruffled his hair and a small smile came to his face. Something suddenly hit him when he saw the smile, he blinked and suddenly he was wearing something different, a coat, a formal shirt, an interesting choice of tie, or was that a bow tie? He blinked and the image was gone, he was back to normal, or at least his outfit was. Zach raised a hand to his forehead, rubbing it to soothe the confused ache. What was going on with him lately? He was having all these flashes, perhaps because of all the stress he was going insane. He shook his head and walked out of the room, thinking nothing about the fact that he infact did find his way back without a problem at all. He walked towards the center, looking slightly annoyed and confused. Till of course he looked up at Sel. His face fell and the look softened. She was wearing that coat, and she looked almost sad. He didn't like that sad look for some reason. "You look..." He began without thinking and then cleared his throat when his thoughts caught up with him, "You look very nice." He said before then looking around him for the exit to this thing. "So we just sort of walk out of here and we're there? So efficient. I wonder why they don't have these things in New York." He said, wondering aloud.

Zach's voice caused Seledine's head to turn towards him in a heart beat. A smile formed on her lips when she saw him. His complement made her feel better and she returned it with a very grateful 'thank you.' Quickly moving to his side, she laughed at his comment. "Well, that wouldn't really be possible. You see, the whole technological advancement for the human race really shouldn't have access to this type of technology for---" And Seledine was off spouting facts and techno babble for a good bit until she just stood there, mouth half open. Scrunching her nose she shook her head. "No, never mind... that part about interplanetary partial demicrometer is wrong." Sighing some, she clapped her hands. "Anywho, care to see what is out there." She said and took his hand, dragging him to the door.
Pushing them open, the view that came forth was fantastic. The sky was different from Earths, a different blue, almost purple in away. Lazy clouds floated in the sky, reflecting in the pure cerulean waters below. The ocean was a little ways down, the ship on an out cropping of rock that was raised out of the ocean. All around you could see speckles of other rocks with little buildings on them, boats floated across the water and there were many people walking in the water. Everyone was bipedal though they had almost a yellowish tinge to their skin. Their hair was also in such odd and bright colored designs that it was really quite a pretty sight. "Beautiful eh. Absolutely fantastic." She whispered to Zach with an emphasis on fantastic, a wide smile on her face as she couldn't wait to see his reaction.
It really was a lovely place. To their left was a small group of low rocks, a concoction of fine sand and small pebbles was on the top, a few inhabitants laying on the make shift beach. There were other aliens there too, some looking very similar to humans. "They have some of the best seafood ever. Do you like seafood?" She asked, stepping out of the blue box and on to the pillar of rock they had landed on. The air was warm enough to get wet and be perfect but too hot really for the coat. A mix of emotions crossed her face as she hopped back into the ship and deposited it on the control panel. Sighing, her hands lingered on the tan coat for a moment before she popped back out with a cheery smile. "So what do you want to do first? Eat, swim, meet the local?" Her mood seemed to be able to change drastically, lingering on the extremely enthusiastic happiness. Though if she wasn't like this then it could get bad.

"Whoa." Zach's eyes widened at the sites, the sheer amazement of it all. He looked to the people, to water, and to the beautiful open sky and had trouble containing his excitement. He was smiling brightly, genuinely as the smell of salt in the air filled his nose and warm sunshine drenched him. It felt so nice here, despite it being another planet. It seemed so much better than his own...except for the snow ofcourse.
"This is amazing, everything looks so new, but the same. It's all so vivid, the colors, the people-" He said more ranting to himself than to Sel as he walked over to one of the edges of the rock they were on so he could look down at the crystal clear water. It didn't look deep, after all the locals were just walking around in it. That meant the water was safe at least, a factor he hadn't really even thought about till Sel spoke.
Sel mentioned the question of what they should do now that they were here. Swimming, eating, or metting the locals? All of it sounded fun, but ofcourse he had to take it all in at a time. He stood for a moment, looking up to the sky in thought. He was getting kind of hungry, after all he had very little to eat between morning and late afternoon.
"Perhaps some food, if it's not too much." He said with a small shrug. "I haven't had much in the way of food today. And you've got to be at least a little hungry after today." He said with a small laugh in his voice. He would keep it too himself that he really just wanted to look around, to soothe the ringing of glee and curiosity that bubbled in his mind. He didn't know why things just seemed to excite him when they were new, it was like his drive for learning wanted to swallow up as much information as it could, so that he could better understand the thing that fascinated him. It was a strange way for someone to view the world, but Zach didn't really find it such a horrible thing to have.
After all it was that same curiousity that brought him here with Sel anyways...

Seledine could tell that Zack had taken a liking to how this planet looked. It was truly a beautiful place. It was very low on crime despite the influx of tourists during the times when the amount of rain was low. She watched contentedly and with a happy smile on her face as Zachary reacted rather well to the whole change of scenery thing. Seledine had a feeling at first that he might have been skeptical. The day was young here, the night would not be coming for another twenty hours. This planet had rather long days, their inhabitants having adapted to it slept longer and of course had longer to enjoy their day. Of course during the winter their days were shortened, though calling it winter wouldn't quite be true. It never snowed here, it just rained a lot.
Zach's answer to Seledine's question made the ginger haired girl incredibly happy as was obvious by the big grateful smile on her full lips. "Oh, you are fantastic. I definitely could go for something to eat." She responded. Looking off of the edge of the miniature cliff, Sele saw a boat and a set of rock carved stairs to their left. Glancing at Zach, Seledine smiled and walked towards and down the stairs. Hopping into the boat, Seledine chuckled. It was incredibly simple, the siding was made out of a very large turtles shell. It wasn't killed to be used, that much Sele knew. The inhabitants of this island ver incredibly peaceful. Most thought them to be quite out of touch with technology but if you saw how they fished and cooked, anyone's minds could be changed.
While waiting for Zach to get in the boat, she reached down in a shallower area of the water and picked up a few shells. They were all quite beautiful in shades of pinks, purples, and blues. They were used as a type of currency here, their ground powders could be used for various things though they mainly tried to gather as many as possible to bring to their 'god' that lived in an oceanic pit. Lucky for her as a traveler since they didn't have any ATMs but unlucky because she actually had to do work to get it.

Zach stepped down from the rocky stairs, still full of the sense of amazement. He looked down at the boat made from the shell and noticed Sel was poking up more shells. "What's all that for?" He asked, looking over the shells in her hand. "I meant to ask...I'm sure the American dollar holds no value here, so how exactly do things work here, economically speaking? Well, also culturally." He said as the waves rocked the small boat. He grabbed hold of the oar type roarer *think thats the word for it, X* on the back, not wanting Sel to have to work it by herself. "Is there anything I should look out for? I really don't want to cause any problems here, not to disturb this kind of nicety." He wasn't used to being out of his element, after all he'd been learning gradually to interact the way people wanted to to make life in that city easier. Here however he was dealing with new people with different ideas perhaps. After all, to Sel apparently a normal day consists of travel through time and space. Not exactly the sort of talk or activity he ever heard around the cafe or on the news.

Seledine watched as Zach got in the boat and picked up the ore. Turning her head out towards the waters, she could see the clear ocean for miles. It seemed as though the pillars of rock that jutted out of the ocean were randomly place. They were relatively placed based on plate formations and man made mounds. The whole planet was completely covered by oceanic water except for the small islands that could only hold a building or three.
"Well, they use shells. The prettier the ones, the more they are worth." She explained quickly. and then listened to his other concerns. She pushed the boat off and directed towards a building that was on the other side of the make shift beach. "Well, as I was saying about the currency of shells, the reason they use them is to please what they worship as a god. The more plentiful your supply and the more beautiful the shells means that their god will bless you with luck for the coming year. They throw off all of their shells at the end of the year in a huge ceremony. You never want to get into a debate with them and they will know you are a visitor so as long as you are respectful and follow what I say, you'll be fine." She shrugged her shoulders some, though just as she was turning away a look of realization crossing on her face. Her lips forming a cirlce as her eyebrows did a little dance.
"We-e-ell on second thought..." She began and turned towards him, a look if eentertainment on her face. "You should end every sentenc with 'Yola.' Don't ask why, just do it, even if they can't understand you." She added, making it seem as though it was quite important, which it was. If he forgot it a few times alright but he needed to know to do that. It was a sign of respect. Biting her lips, she decided to add another rule. "Don't stare into someone elses eyes for more than five seconds unless you want to be mistaken for trying to court someone." She knew it might have sounded like a lot but Seledine figured it would be easier than trying to work out misunderstandings.

(Oar! That’s the word! Great I had a blonde moment, lol ;P ) He listened to Sel carefully, the information going into his better logic. He would need to remember this kind of thing after all. When Sel’s face suddenly made a funny expression her paused wondering what else she had remembered. As she explained the other things he needed to know, he noticed she found it amusing, an interesting way for an expert to pass information. Then again this was Sel. “Yola?” He repeated as he rowed. It sounded funny with his voice but he would do as she said. After all it was somewhat safer to do so. And the thing about the eyes was a bit more pressure than just the ending of sentences. “And don’t make too much eye contact. Brilliant.” He said, almost relieved not to have to worry about something much worse. He took the boat over to where he told him to, and found it easier to navigate this water despite his no prior knowledge to this. All the while he was caught up in the scenery, wanting to ask more but not wanting to annoy her. When they reached the other area he offered Sel a hand out to do the gentlemanly thing.

As Zach repeated 'yola', Seledine couldn't help but smile some at it. He seemed to be fitting in nicely already with the whole traveling aspect of her life. He seemed intrigued and was coping well with the drastic change of scenery. However, Zach's next sentence caused Seledine's breath to catch in her throat. She remembered those words being said from another pair of lips before, albeit in a much more cheerful and in awe. Taking a shaky breath, Sele's mind cleared and she found herself landed, Zach holding his hand out for her.
Smiling brightly, she took it as she got out. Keeping hold of it, she gave him a wink and began ascending the carved rock up the miniature cliff. There was a smallish hut at the top, the aroma of cooking food coming from it. It made Seledine's mouth water. Frying foods and grilled foods, an exotic scent wound its way from this place, glancing over at Zach, Sele wanted to see his reaction to the exotic scents. ((Yea, happens to me all the time haha. Sorry it is so short...))

(Nah its perfectly fine. My posts have been tiny too. I mean you don’t want too much detail right) Zach followed after Sel obideintly though she practically dragged him. She was always is such a cheerful mood, but something seemed different for a moment in the boat. She seemed a bit, surprised by something…Oh well, it wasn’t his concern after all since she didn’t want to tell him. They went up the rocks and to the hut, the aromas of the exotic foods getting stronger. He even found himself drawn to the smells, smiling airily, half out of interest and wonder at what smelled so good. After all, he had no idea what alien seafood would look like…When they reached the door to the shack, a brightly colored cloth that hung across a wide door way, Zach could hear people speaking inside and the sounds of things frying. "Well here goes nothing.." Zach held his breath, trying to brace himself for what would come next.

Seledine's mouth was practically drooling by the time Zach and herself got the the cloth covered door way. Pushing aside the brightly colored cloth, Seledine's senses were assaulted by the sounds and smells of delicious foods. Entering she gave Zach a cheery smile, wanting to see his reaction to the interior and kitchen that could be seen.
The whole place was brightly colored, paintings and cloth decorations. The tables were low, cushions for you to sit on in stead of chairs. It was very bohemian in style, a few inhabitants glancing up as they entered. The kitchen could be seen from the entrance, pots and pans made out of a purple colored metal were being used over clay made stoves and fryers with fire heating up the grease. The food that was being carried to tables was also brightly colored though it wasn't just the cuisine but the spices and sauces as well. It really seemed like artwork more than lunch.
Pulling him over to an empty table, she plopped down on a bright green and powder blue cushion. An odd almost barking noise came from her, calling out to a waiter. Quickly to clay cups of crisp cool water were brought to them, along with two menus that were covered in a thin waxy membrane, as if they had laminated them with natural substances. Everything seemed to have been made with nature in mind, no big machines unless you counted the odd looking stoves and mesh work of lights that hung from the ceiling, though they weren't really lights but lanterns full of a very common bug on this planet. They glowed day and night, making a very good lighting for the inhabitants to use.
Seledine looked at her menu right away, tongue poking into the side of her cheek. It sucked that it would take another trip before her ship would get inside of Zach's head and translate everything for him. The first trip was always the hardest. "If you need help reading let me know. I mean really, I wish that you could understand alien languages instantly. It really isn't fair that it takes two trips minimum..." She began mumbling to herself before her face lit up, as she found one of her favorite dishes.

Zach examined the menu and felt his brow furrow a little in lack of understanding. 'What is that?' He thought even resorting to flipping the menu around to see if it was upside down. He tapped his lip in thought, focusing on the letters for a bit. Something jumped out at him, though only a slight blur of lettering. It was something that started with an H, though that was the pronunciation he got from it. He blinked and the letters went back to being the normal gibberish, surprising him a little. "In two trips in your ship and already I'll learn to read this? Amazing..." He said and placed the menu down. "I think I'll try that." He said pointing to whatever it was that had become clear to him at that moment. After what he'd seen when he first entered, everything here looked different, probably would taste different too. But in a way it had a charm to it, a creativity that actually made the not so edible looking stuff smell amazing. Besides, he was sure that a woman who had appreciation for tea wouldn't eat something disagreeable. "So, how did you stumble across a place like this? Do you just wander around and go wherever fate takes you?" He asked truly curious about the other places she's been. If she found this amazing place, how much more was out there?

"Yea, it is pretty amazing isn't it." Seledine responded, a quirky little smile on her face as she looked around. Setting down her menu, she watched as Zach seemed to struggle with it. She wasn't going to help him though unless he asked. Smirking when he pointed at what he wanted, her eyebrows wiggled some. It was an interesting choice, something she liked but it was not her favorite. It was her second favorite.
Another barking noise came from Seledine as she called for a waiter and then ordered for the two of them. It wasn't long before the sound of food cooking became louder as their orders were piled on along with the rest. Zach's words mulled through Seledine's mind, herself taking a while to answer. "Generally that is how I work, my ship will take me where I need to go though at times I go where I want." She began, fingering the cup of water, her pale green eyes seeming unsure. "However I was brought to this place by someone who is very dear to me. He is a great man...was a great man." She whispered the last part as if she didn't want to admit it, the wound felt fresh in her heart however it had been a decent amount of time-well in human years it was long for Seledine it was tiny...
Seledine still missed him greatly as was obvious by her far away look. Though she smiled some, albeit a bit sadly. "He taught me everything I know." She explained and then laughed without humor. "But you don't want to know about that." Waving her hand some, she drank the water, obviously wanting to change the topic. Chippering up some, she smiled again, clearing away any negative thoughts. "Are you excited to try your food selection?" She questioned, voice sounding a lot happier, though her eyes still held a lingering pain.
