Ale kept close to Fox as he gathered himself, trying his best to quell the mix of emotions that welled up inside him at the sight of her. The mix was dangerous for him when he should be cold and calculating, when he should have been ready to just take his chances now and end her, when he had no choice now but to kill her before she killed him. But something crept its way into his mind and made him look back at Selene again as brief flashes of their life together ran through his mind. He could see it all there, taste his happiness, smell her perfume on the sea breeze, feel the touch of her hand trace his face, and hear her honey-toned voice drift into his ears in the early morning when he had just woke from a night alone with her attention. He had loved this woman and she had torn that from him and ripped it to shred at his feet just to be vindictive. She tortured him, stripped away his pride, used him, tried to kill him, and left him to rot in some forgotten cell. And the only satisfaction for all that pain and suffering was at his fingertips, just a few long strides through the crowd away, the closest he had been in a very long time. He was going to savor this moment, really commit her joy to memory so he could see the change on her face as he ripped it from her... When Fox spoke about eating the coven members, Ale looked at her with a look that was fiery from his pent-up rage coming to a head. "There are bound to be more...but the ones closest to her are a threat. Kill them all if you must or would please. Hell, we could burn this whole fucking place to the ground... But Selene is mine. I need her husband gone too. To isolate her so she is easily cornered." He said, his voice low as his eyes went from Fox to Selene again. She had began talking with nobles nearby, her husband separating from her only some to discuss something with some nobles off to the side. Ale straightened his coat some, feeling the dagger in the inner pocket pull as he prepared to start getting closer to Selene. It might kill him to face the powerful sea witch alone, but at least he would go down with a fight and drag her to hell with him...

Fox nodded to Ale’s words, having gotten a brief taste of some of the emotions he was putting off simply looking at the target. It was confusing to her but she didn’t speak, letting him begin moving after saying his piece. She shifted off to the left, looking over a few other and got a wif of magic from them. She moved just past them and touched their shoulders, pulling them back into the darker area with less lights, an no one else- well that was paying attention anyhow and quickly drained their energy. It was a very quick death- however it was sad she couldn’t enjoy their death more for hurting her friend. After a moment that the draining room she glanced behind her and saw that it was clear, moving out of the shadow- a light blush on her cheeks from eating quickly she fanned herself and moved on to the next target, though keeping an eye on Ale’s progress. He wasn’t close enough yet- she had time to eat more- how sweet of him. She moved on and took out four more sets of look outs across the room in a matter of minutes mean while looking like a giggling drunk almost, making sure to keep from contact with Selene or her husband, he was the desert. Fox’s eyes were dilated and she felt full actually. Eating fast filled her but she knew eating a few more- for Alejandro would be worth the idea that she could feel sick later- well if she didn’t make Ale take some energy later- she might be sick with it. She doubted Ale would turn her down however for free energy- little user he was, though she didn’t mind.

Alejandro watched Selene from the crowd, stalking like a panther watching its prey through the sea of people. When was the right time to strike? COuld he take his eyes off her? Was this the wrong move to make? How would he kill her? The questions that buzzed in his head were a deafening noise in all the party fanfare. He didn't even realize he had wandered closer till her eyes suddenly locked with his. The minute their eyes met, it was like the whole room faded away and only the two stood on the precipice of the cliff this mansion was built on. Selene seemed to see right through his pitiful disguise, her sea green eyes holding his soul in their steely grasps. Sparks flew from their power connecting, bringing a static to the air that made his skin crawl and his body shift subtly into a defensive stance. Selene's shoulder's rolled back some, displaying a proud stance as if bidding him to take a shot, to dare harm her in front of all these people. Ale didn't move, but he wasn't sure if it was out of anticipation of her next move or because he felt emotions crashing in waves against his control. His rage made him want to launch at her and tear her apart, his anguish made him want to hold her by the throat and force her to tell him why she tortured him after all he gave her, his remorse for losing that attachment wanted to ask her if she ever truly loved him, and his disdain made him want to never hear her voice again...The confusing mix hit him full force when she suddenly gave him a 'come and get me' smile and turned on her heel to leave the party. She shooed away her husband that tried to follow and went further into the mansion where no one was following. Ale knew that was the cue that she was ready to face him...but was he ready to face her? Ale followed, knowing he didn't have a choice. When he found Selene again, she stood on a large balcony far from the party's view that looked out over the ocean that was roiling from a storm out at sea. The sea winds whipped at them, pulling Ale's shirt and sending Selene's long hair into a frenzy from it's braids and formal hairstyle. Ale could smell her on the breeze and felt flashes of comfort and lust coming to him that he didn't want to feel, that he wasn't allowed to feel. This had been the woman he professed love for all those years ago, her just a few long steps away and her back turned to him. Although fluid and hardly monogomous, sea witches didn't throw around the word love lightly. It was reserved for a single partner, till death...Even his father, the horrible creature he was, loved his mother. The two were bonded for life... He had once wanted that with Selene and it felt painful despite himself that it was ripped from him by the person he trusted. "Are you here to kill me or are you just going to stand there like a lost child?" Selene turned to him, meeting his eyes with a narrowed look. "Nerrus..." His name carried on her voice with a delicate tone that made him take a step in her direction. He stopped himself short of getting closer, glaring at her like she was a viper rather than a woman before him. He knew her tricks...despite how good she was at wielding them. "I'm not here to beg your forgiveness. So killing you seems the sweeter alternative." He said, though he cursed the tightness in his voice. Selene picked up on it and gave a cocky little smirk. "Pity. I'd have liked you to come quietly with me back home...I rather like it when you submit. It could have been nostalgic for both of us." She purred before pacing to the left. Ale moved counter to her, keeping their distance intact as he took an aggressive stance. Selene saw the change and gave him a glare. "Please Nerrus. As if you would hurt me...Not only am I stronger than you, but you 'love' me...remember?" She giggled, getting a glare from Ale. "Infatuation due to your power...nothing more." He snapped back, making Selene smirk. "Not how I remember it. After all, you gave me your power to save my life...to help me rise to my rightful place...You still feel it, don't you? How we're connected by your power, part of your soul?" Ale narrowed his eyes at her, stopping as she did to taunt him with the knowledge that he gave her the power she was abusing now, the same power she used to trick him and imprison him for a 100 years. The dig hit its mark, sparking his rage to a blaze. Throwing his caution to the wind, he stuck out at her. In an instant, he was in front of her, but she caught the swing easily with an airy laugh. "Oh I struck a nerve? No hard feelings, darling...You must know I feel it too. How we're connected...how we need each other." She let a hand brush his cheek out of nowhere which drove him back in disgust. She volleyed a flame at him which Ale dodged narrowly enough, but it drove him towards the railing. He realized she was trying to corner him and slid to move away. However, her magic enhanced her speed, putting Selene in the way of where he wanted to run. "I need nothing from you. I'm going to rip that twisted soul from your cold dead body." Ale snarled, sending a flame in her direction that singed a portion of her sleeve as she dodged him. She gave a hiss of annoyance before she launched into attacking him. The two locked in a flurry of movements that were too fast for human eyes. Firey spells lit up the darkness and the sound of catching hits echoed off the tiles of the balcony. Ale had landed a few good attacks, drawing blood from Selene on multiple occasions. But while his attacks were precise and painful, her's were powerful and numerous. He could feel his body trembling and the pain that radiated from his injuries was excruciating. Thankfully this host wasn't his usual, but it was still connected completely to his soul. If he died here, that was it...he just vanished, blipped out of existence. But Selene wouldn't kill him...she couldn't kill him. She needed him alive to complete that ritual to gain her power permanently. After a well-placed hit to his jaw, Ale stumbled back into the railing and felt Selene bearing down on him with flames roiling in her hand. "Enough!" She spat through bloodied teeth, holding him by the neck as they leaned precariously on the railing. Ale scrambled to get out from under her, but she made a point to put the flame to his abdomen, making him scream in agony as the flames tore at his flesh. "I am done with you defying me. Looking down your nose at me after I showed you your true potential! I created you, all of our power and you want to kill me?" She pressed the flame into him harder, grinning insanely as he tried to fight her off. "That's the problem with you creatures...Your pride makes you blind to the very thing that was built to destroy you...Without me, your power would have been wasted. And now I get to craft you into something better." Ale watched her pull the flame away as she leaned into what seemed like kiss him. "You were beaten at your own fame creature...I played you and won....now give up and die with whatever dignity you have left." Ale stared back at her with a defiant look, but he knew there was nowhere else to run. He was going to either be taken or die trying. After all he had been through, after all he had lost, after all this bitch did to him...to Anna, he couldn't go out without taking her to hell with him. He noticed the way their weight was distributed on the railing and looked down at the rocks and waves briefly. If he timed this right, he had a chance to take her out. He couldn't guarantee he lived...but he could make sure she went with him. He looked back at her giving her a shithead smirk before he threw another flaming fist at her head. She dodged it easily, but he used her shift in weight to pull her down backwards with him. With a shriek and flailing limb, Selene topple over with Ale over the railing and down the long drop into the water below. By some miracle, Ale missed the rocks but the force of hitting the water and the water throwing him into the rocks knocked the wind out of him and definitely broke something. In his disorientation, he saw Selene struggling nearby and instantly sprang into action. He grappled with her in the water, throwing her against a nearby rock and using it as leverage to get to the surface. He broke the top of the water and gasped for air, but was soon dragged down by the waves and Selene's flailing grasps at him. When under the waves, Ale and Selene locked onto each other, their hands around each other's necks. Selene exerted her will into him, but the fall definitely had weakened her. Ale fought against it, his own will pushing back against her's. The battle of power raged between them as the turbulent water slammed them against rocks and outcroppings. The advantage came when Selene's head hit the side of the cliff face, knocking her off guard. In the moments when his power wrapped around her soul, he saw genuine shock and fear in Selene's eyes. It brought a sick satisfaction to him that scared him only briefly before he gave a forceful tug of his power and severed her soul from her host. When the life left Selene's eyes like a candle being snuffed out, a pain radiated in Ale that felt wrong but also right. He didn't have time to consider it before he was thrown into the rocks again, knocking what little consciousness he had left out of him. For a long time, he floated in limbo, in this all-consuming darkness that was so cold and alone...He thought that he was dead, that this was what eternity was for him after all the sin he committed. But a sudden force to his chest ripped him from the darkness and back to the light as his eyes snapped open and he flailed for support or something to hold onto. In his terror and panic, he found a body, one that he clung to like it was the last being alive. In his haze of fear, he thought it was the first name that came to his lips despite himself. "Anna--" When his eyes flicked up to find it was Fox, he gave her a shaky and terrified look. "Fox? I-I'm alive?" He croaked, his head suddenly feeling very light and foggy from all the movement and action. He fell back limp against the floor of their hotel as his heavily weakened soul struggled to keep a hold on the host. It's life was failing with Ale being that weak and he was having trouble staying awake. "Fox--I need---" He tried to tell her he needed help between shallow breaths but he was quickly finding it was getting harder to steady himself. Not to mention the pain was starting to come from the injuries his soul sustained from Selene. They only helped to push him over the edge of being able to come back from this himself...

Fox was done with the husband quickly, as the others- it having been no special task. She did however follow after ale after a bit of wondering where e had gotten off to- only to find him in the water? That wasn’t usual. She shimmied out of the dress down into her ships and a corset and jumped in- wanting to help him quickly. Pulling him quickly from the water she pulled him shire side, there under the cliff from the mansion. She quickly wrapped her dress around him and took off to the hotel getting him in the room via the window before she could help the poor sea witch- his usual host there in the room. She pressed her lips to his and pulled the water from his lungs quickly- not painless either. She spit it out only to have Ale- terror driven cling to her- and call her Anna? She gave him a soft look since she did miss the human as well. When he asked if he were alive she gave him a soft nod. “ yes, you are alive Ale now hush...” when he struggled to speak more she put a hand over his mouth more to forcibly shut him up. She didn’t need him expending energy if she were going to give him more. She pushed her lips to his again, and forced a good portion of her power into him- knowing the witch needed it. She did what she could to help him, but wasn’t sure exactly what had happened.

Ale made a face when she told him to quiet down, though the kiss did throw him off enough to keep his temper at bay. When her energy transfer began, he realized what was going on and instantly relaxed. When he felt less dizzy, cold, and distant from himself, he pulled away from Fox and gave her a tired frown. "Thank you...Now excuse me a moment." He closed his eyes, using his magic to find the signature his usual host left and used it to travel back. When he opened his eyes, he saw the temporary body lying lifeless, having succumbed to the injuries left by Selene. While he felt weakened, he wasn't near death thankfully. "Her host is dead. I tore her from the body myself...even if she got a good few hits in." He said with some dark humor, though it was obvious by his face that noneof this was funny. He sighed before pushing himself up to stand. It was wobbly but he managed to get to his feet. "I suggest we leave town as soon as we are able. The minute the stragglers from the coven realize she is dead they will come looking for us. " He said though he did look Fox over for sign of injury. "Are you okay? Did any of the coven members get a hit on you or a part of your person?" He asked since they could be at risk of a curse or harm if someone got away.

She rose a brow when he pushed her away but saw he was changing hosts so she allowed it. She watched the body die in her lap, but not before she started looking at it like it might be a snack- however decided not because it had been tainted by a sea witch fight so she shoved it off her and stood, moving closer to Ale to hear him better. He made things sound humorous but his body language and expression said otherwise. She purses her lips as she thought a moment. “ I had no doubt you wouldn’t do it Ale.” She Stated since she knew, hell had felt his anger about this and could understand it some what. When he began asking about her self she laughed lightly. “ not even a scratch on me. The husband attempted to injure me however he didn’t seem to understand I am superior to a human. I may or may not have bitten off his arm and used it to assault him.” She said with a humored tone. She hadn’t but she had killed the man, having gouged a huge opening in his neck- she knew the man was dead, you could smell it from a wound. “ besides your magic comes from the sea no? I am of the 50 personified voices of the sea. I would like to see than attempt while my sisters are watchful.” She said with a smile almost tempting someone to attempt.

Ale looked at her with a rather weak smirk before he nodded. "You're right. They wouldn't know what hit them..." He said around a breathless chuckle before he sank down onto the bed. He groaned, feeling everything crash back down on him. He did it...he killed Selene's host....he actually killed a part of her....He felt a twinge of pride, but also something akin to anger that it had to be this way...The evil creature needed to die, but he wished it could have been more painful. "One down...two to go if she hasn't already hidden the others. I don't think she thought I would ever do it...She was actually shocked in the end." He said before shaking his head. "I don't want her to hurt Kole for Anna's sake. But I don't forsee helping him escape before she kills him in retaliation for this." He added, his thoughts coming from him as he was trying to recover. ~~~~ A rather aggravated and fearful shriek pierced the calm of the ship as the door to the lower deck burst open. Out ran Maresol, tailed very quickly by the confused and annoyed looking Adriaticus. She snatched a sword off a nearby crewman who moved out of the way of the fight that was getting ready to go down. She pointed the sword at Adriaticus, making sure it kept the distance between the two very spacious. "Get the hell away from me, you psychopath." She snapped, looking furious and mean in her defensive stance. However, Adriaticus appeared unimpressed by her, like she was a child waving a stick at him. "Oh come now, human. I only need a bit of blood. No more than a finger prick." He said, taking a step closer to her. Very quickly Maresol moved the sword, the metal tip biting into his neck, only far enough to cause a trickle of dark blue blood to run to his shirt. The slight sting didn't seem to harm the creature but instead drew a murderous glow to his eyes that resembled Ale's fury. However, Maresol saw something much darker seething beneath the surface that she didn't see in Ale. This fury terrified her... "Can't you see it's important you little twit? I need to see Nerrus." He hissed, the quality of his voice dipping into a lower register, the deepness to it seem menacing that even spooked some of the crew on the deck that had moved to try and help Maresol.

Fox listened to him talk knowing he needed to get it out of his system. At his words however about getting Kole hurt- for anna’s Sake made her frown. “Anna knows the boy will die already, besides both are the last of their lines as it is.” She Stated a bit dryly to Ale since she knew much much more about the human then he did. “We have a goal Alejandro. Don’t let Kole’s life deter you from this.” SHe Stated easily since back when they met this perhaps would have been reversed in rolls. ~~~~ Annalise was on the navigation deck with Samantha talking over little things when Maresol and Adriaticus came up. Both frowned when the girl insulted the sea witch however- not wanting to die. She gave a sharp whistle and Anouilh came around quickly to see what she wanted. She told him to hold course and told Sam to stay as well. She took a small running leap over the two sets of rails and her boots gave a hard loud thump on the deck as she landed closer to Ale’s father. She saw the blue blood front he weapon Maresol had, hearing the words and such between them she prayed her lips. Taking a short moment she moved closer and flicked the sword away from her little sea witch’s birth father. A hard look on her pretty features before she gave a shake of her head to Maresol to drop the weapon. “ Would only her blood Work or would mine suffice?” She asked smoothly no hesitation wondering what could be done since he only said it was a little bit.

Adriaticus gave Anna an almost blank look, as though his rage fizzled out just as quickly as it appeared. Maresol didn’t trust the fact the monster wore such a convincing mask. It just meant it was a half-way decent manipulator and liar. He shook his head at Anna with a sigh. “No, sadly our beautiful captain’s blood will not suffice, though surely your’s would be of higher pedigree... This...” He sneered out “this” in a way that sounded exasperated, but he reigned himself in with a slow blink. “She is the closest to my son. She stole a piece of him after all to further her own existence, while my son may be dead.” He snipped before taking his harsher gaze from Maresol and looking to Anna with an expression that appeared concerned. “We see witches keep in contact by water and blood. When he touched the water, I felt him die. I felt his soul energy was low, almost untraceable. He’s too far from me and the trace was not clear enough to follow...If he dies I—“ he couldn’t finish the thought, the idea actually seeming to bother the creature before it looked to Maresol again. “If it will not comply, may I just kill it? Then I can take all the blood I want without all this resistance.” He stared at Anna and thought she might go for it. But instead, He noticed Anna was not going to bite. Instead, he sighed and gave Anna the dagger. “Will you please do the honors? Maybe that will calm your pet...” Maresol glared at him and shot him the bird before she went to Anna. She wasn’t doing this for the father or even Anna really, but for the stubborn and vindictive sea witch that could have killed her but chose to let her live. She owed him that much at least... “Fine, don’t let him near me though...” She said before closing her eyes and letting Anna draw the blood. Adriaticus took the bloody dagger from Anna before motioning her to follow. “I’d like to ask that you’re present. My son is stubborn like his mother, but loyal. I think you might appeal to his better nature, hm?” He said with a suggestive wink before he left to the captain's quarters. He figured she wouldn't mind since she said she was attached to his son. Perhaps she would be an asset in righting things. First, he gathered a water basin and placed it in the center of the room. Then he took a long black piece of charcoal from a bag at his waist and scribbled an intricately patterned circle around the wash basin. As he finished his pattern, he bit into his finger, drawing blood and allowing it to drip onto the circle. He waited for something to happen it seemed before he frowned to himself. "Stand in the circle and the spell will influence you. Leave it to break its hold." The brief explanation was all Anna received before Adriaticus began muttering something in an old language. His words were quiet and melodic, like a song but something more precise. In the drone of his muttering, he produced the dagger and dropped it into the water basin. As the water splashed out, it was noticeably red like blood. A green light glowed from the circle as the blood red water ran from the basin and to their feet, however stopping at the edge of the circle. With a smirk, he hissed out a final word. The world around the circle began shifting and churning till suddenly it blurred away and was replaced by a dingy looking hotel room. Adriaticus blinked at the place, squinting at it for any signs of danger or his son's body. He found a dead man on the floor and for a moment he felt a sharp pain in his chest. However it was quickly dispelled when he caught movement in the room, a beautiful woman i finery that was definitely not human. "Are you the one that harmed my son?" He asked very pointedly, even if he knew he appeared just as a glowing green apparition to her and could do no harm. Before he could get hostile, another person came into focus, a young looking man on the bed that looked haggard. However, when their sea green eyes made eye contact, Adriaticus felt it in his soul. "Nerus?" He whispered, drawing a confused and rather petrified look from the man. ~~~ Ale was about to answer Fox with a snide reply about his goals not wavering, but he was cut off by a voice coming into the room and Fox looking on edge. He sat up, attempting to spit out a curse at whoever dared mess with him now. However, he was stopped when none other than his father stood in the room. Well, a green and ghostly image of his father. Ale sat frozen as he tried but failed to understand how his father found him, let alone how he got in contact with him. He needed Ale's blood, touches of his soul energy. The only person beyond himself that had that was...Did he kill Maresol? He glared at the man before placing a hand on Fox's arm. "What do you want Adriaticus?" He hissed, drawing a blink from his father. "Is that any way to treat your father who missed you? Who risked life and limb to find you?" His father's voice was sweet with a hint of cockiness that Ale despised. The man thought he was so clever... "Certainly not your own life or limbs. Probably just the lives of all those you find expendable." Adriaticus frowned, raising a catty brow at his son that looked similar to one Ale used often. "And you're above all that now? Leeching off the lifespan of these poor unfortunate souls makes you a saint? Let's not kid ourselves, my son--" "I am no more your son than you were my father. Now I have better things to do than to play family reunion with you. State your peace then leave." Ale's dismissive words made Adriaticus huff, knowing his son would be resistant to seeing him but this hostility was new. What happened to the fierce, but obedient son he once knew? Seems he would have to play dirty to get anywhere in this life. "Fine, but I want our new mutual friend to be a part of these talks...Though she may be a bit jealous to see you've moved on so quickly with this new lovely face." In the blink of an eye, Anna was visible and he saw the effect it had on his son. When Anna came into view, Ale's anger ebbed and something softer slipped into his features. Adriaticus hadn't seen his son actually yield like that before... "Anna, why is he with you?" He asked her since he knew Anna was smarter than trusting a creature that held no more value in her than a gnat. "I wouldn't worry over her business with me. She seems fond enough of you and her other supernatural." Ale's eyes glowed that bright green color when Adriaticus brushed some hair from Anna's shoulder. "Do not touch her. She isn't one of your toys." Adriatius withdrew the hand and gave a smirk. "Oooh feisty over her hm? I believe Captain Vaux can protect herself. She's done so magnificently so far. You on the other hand--well, I'm here because I thought you died." Ale shot him a harsh look before he sneered some at the very idea. "I'm sure you were torn to pieces that your investment may have been further compromised...I survived and Selene's host is dead. Two left--" "Correction. One is left then...Damn boy, it nearly killed you. You can't even clean your messes properly. Even this human survived an encounter with Selene in one piece." Ale's eyes flicked to Anna and worry shot through him for the briefest of moments. She had encountered Selene? Why would she do a stupid and risky thing like that? "That human is a damn good captain..." Ale said with a half smile that faded when he looked back at Adriaticus. "I suspect you knew that by now. Else she wouldn't still be alive in your company. Now, why are you haunting her ship and stalking me?" Adriaticus's pleasant expression eased into something more bland as he shifted some. "I'm here to take you home...after we're finished fixing your mess. The sweet captain here merely intrigues me, she knows you, and she has a vendetta against Selene for her brother and ship. Makes sense I would ally myself with her. As for you, well, why you left her care I'll never understand. Regardless, I think you've had enough punishment for your decisions." Ale sat there a moment at the news--more like the threat from his father. Suddenly a smirk pulled at his lips, his expression all too full of himself. Adriaticus actually looked briefly confused before his mask of emotion covered it back up. "Come and try, old man." Ale teased, drawing a chuckle from his father. "Don't get too comfortable, then." Ale heard the threat in his tone but ignored it in favor of looing at Anna with an appraising look. "Pleasure to see you again, Captain..." He said before the spell dispated, leaving him alone with Fox. Ale's cocky expression faded for an nagry look that looked inches from going postal. "Fox." He said through clenched teeth. "I need you to go protect Anna. Please." He said, looking to her with a dead serious expression that he rarely showed. ~~~ When out of the spell, Adriaticus gave a sigh. "Well, looks like we have only one stop left...Selene's front door. Thank you for accompanying me. As I thought, he was much more pleasant around you." He said, though the sarcasm was heavy in his voice.

Annaliese cut the girl and assisted because quite honestly she wanted to see Ale- we’ll Nerus again. She missed him oddly- his vindictiveness and his catty attitude, hell even his smirk and egotistical laugh when he knew he was full of it... she also missed Fox though it was different then with Ale. She knew enough to recognize that much between the three of them. Anna did as she was nodded and stayed relatively close to Ale’s father, her heart beat accelerated at the idea of even seeing them both. —— Fox was relaxed before the green apparition cake into the room and looked at her like she had barred Ale. She rose a brow at the vision and shook her head softly since she had not.
The argument was new to hear for Annaliese but she waited till she was motioned forward- having heard Ale- but she wanted to see him, hell ask him things still but knew this wasn’t her time to speak...not yet. It wasn’t the best view but she would take it, the ‘ moved on’ comment made her smirk since it was clearly Fox with him, which made her happy. She might have actually came to kill the. ‘New’ fling. When Ale asked her why his father was with her, she was going to speak. It Adriaticis decided to say his own piece, she of course allowed it since he was more powerful creature not to mention older. Anna hadn’t been expecting the brush of hair from her shoulder but, she allowed it yet again since it wasn’t harming her in any way and it seemed to get Ale riled up... she liked that. As they went on to speak of nearly dying she wasn’t too sure she would have expected that since he had Fox with him. She gave a small nod to the comment and the worried look about how she faced Selene. She had been talking them she could hold her own but no one listened. At the compliment she gave Alejandro a smile since she felt prideful that her sea witch complimented her, it was nice to even hear from him. She was a little surprised at the back and forth between then men but at the end she gave Fox a soft look and actually spoke to Ale before the spell dropped, though she suspected only Fox heard since Ale was usually hard of hearing with things weren’t said loudly or obviously to him. “ we need to speak.” She Stated as aThe spell fell, having caught the brief of glimpses of Fox nodding.
At the angry vibe she was getting from him she rose a brow at Ale. “ Nerus. It’s a good name.” She Stated before she addressed his angry statement over going back to Annaliese. “Tell me why.” She Stated very bluntly since she had left in the first place to stay with her friend why go back on a whim?
~~~ Anna shook her head,” No, we have two. I need some information before we go charging in. Though you are welcome to stay with us or meet us there. As a human crew we must prepare since we are weaker, I’m sure you can understand.” She Stated smoothly since it was honest. It gave him the choices he needed as well as the freedom to do as he liked with in reason. She knew they didn’t like to be pinned down sos he wasn’t going to , it would only cause issues anyhow. “But I must thank you for allowing me to see your son, and the creature with Ale- oh umm Nerus, was my dear Fox.” She Stated smoothly since the comment earlier had spiked her blood pressure.
When Fox used his real name, he winced some since he hadn't heard that name since he was beneath the waves and then briefly when Selene was angry with him. He hated that name, as it reminded him of a life full of misery, death, and false power won by fear. It was a life he left in order to do better. It was a life that didn't even touch the stain that Selene put on it, but it had driven him into the arms of that 'heretic'. He grimaced some at his father's wording, but let it go. Especially when Fox asked him why she needed to go. He looked back at her and gave an annoyed huff, not at her but at the situation. "My father is a violent, egotistical warlord that broke thousands of years of tradition and peace between covens to seize power over at least one of the seven seas. He sees everyone as expendable pawns in a game only he knows the rules to. If he's just as easily willing to kill my brothers and sisters to attain what he wants, you can only assume he won't give a hell if Anna treads incorrectly with him or he decides to use her as leverage to get to me. I don't want to see her harmed for my stupidity." He gave a frown however when he saw something in Fox's expression like she expected him to say something else. That made him glare and gave a shake of his head. "That's all." He muttered before his shoulder's tensed some and his mind began to reel at the thought of Anna dead at his hands. He had to convince Fox to leave...so maybe he should be honest. "And perhaps I...care for her. I don't wish to see her harmed because I will break our agreement and I don't want to force that on her. She doesn't want or require feelings anyways. Especially not from me...That and I know my father isn't stupid enough to challenge you. He knows well the old stories of how we witches received our magic from the ancient ones and will not attempt to harm Anna if she is under your care." He sat down, looking like a child pouting briefly as he glared at Fox. "There...a good enough reason?" ~~~~ Adriaticus looked at the female human when she said she wanted to plan first with information. He wanted to argue but he understood her reasoning. They were much fleshier and pink, and prone to bleeding when injured or losing limbs easily. He nodded a bit at her explanation and listened to the choices she offered. Although he was impatient, he knew to keep Nerus under control and within contact he had to stay with the captain. It seemed he underestimated the influence the woman had on him. "I will stay...it can't hurt to learn a bit more on the target." He said politely though paused when she thanked him. He was not often thanked and this new experience was rather entertaining for him. "I see. Well, Fox is a lovely one and my son's new form is...well I suppose human's find that sort of thing appealing. I'm glad I could offer you some happiness in seeing them. Even if Nerus hardly kept his manners." He said though he took on a catty look that was all too similar to Ale's, showing where he got his tone and expressions from. "So feisty and rude. I don't know how you put up with it. His mother would destroy a fleet if she knew he was being so volatile in the presence of a young woman." He said even if he was sure Coventina would just baby the boy as she usually did when he was hurt or combative. He wouldn't challenge the woman over it however or bring her into this as that was a quick way to lose a limb or wind up with a few new scars...
At his half assed remark she purses her lips as she looked at him, knowing there was more if he had been upset over this little chat. She waited till he gave her a look that honestly told her what it was already- but it seemed he decided to speak on it. “I see. You do know Ale, after you requested leave- she was a mess. Don’t discount that you singlehandedly broke the agreement.” She Stated simply before standing up and giving her back a stretch. “ I’m not sure what you children think we did to give you magic but i can assure you, you are incorrect.” She said with a giggle before giving a sigh. “ i will go to Anna’s side only after I have your plans and your word that you will. It treat this as a death mission. I do not wish to lose my new friend after such a short time.” She said with a softer expression since she did like Alejandro. ~~~~ When his father ranted a bit on his attitude she giggled, a hand raised to cover her smile. “ I have found that his personality lately has been charming if not a bit abrasive but it suits his for now. He is often polite and even social honeslty but I think he is stressed.” She Stated easily since she wanted to be honest with the father but at the same time she wanted him to understand he wasn’t always like that. “ alright, it will take about four days to get back to port then we will stay the night there. I need to gather information from Palu.” She Stated easily before getting herself a bottle of Rum from the box by her desk. She needed a stiff drink honeslty, she hadn’t ever thought of going with an actual water bound sea witch to a land bound coven’a doors to fights for Ale- even when he didn’t want her to.
Ale frowned at the mention that Anna would have felt any sort of way over him leaving. No, she hadn't. There was no way she could of. She was thing impossibly stubborn, independent, vocal creature, that would have argued him down if he had left when she didn't want him to. She would have stopped him--or maybe, like himself, she wouldn't have to keep that peace. Besides, why would Fox lie about that? He thought a moment about Anna and back to that last conversation in her quarters. Had he misread her signals then? Something tightened in his chest that he quelled down with a shake of his head. He wasn't allowed to change his mind now, not when his life wasn't his own anymore. Not with Selene now coming for blood and his father coming for what was left over. Now he could only go back to his old ways...perhaps strike at Selene a different way after some time and a chance to recover...At Fox's stipulations, Ale gave a chuckle, his expression turning cocky despite the slight sadness beneath it. "You have my word, friend. I'm too stubborn to die yet. Besides, I would miss you far too much." He said, giving her a smirk to solidify that he meant what he said. He wouldn't give Selene the satisfaction of killing him just yet. ~~~ Adriaticus listened to her comment on his son and felt a bit of a smile coming on. Even if he thought his son foolish from youth and being raised with too much at his disposal, he cared for the boy and was at least pleased he found someone with sense to spend his time with. Though it seemed he was too stubborn to come to terms with that or remain in contact with Anna. "Then I will follow your lead, captain." He gave her a nod since he figured it would take time to get where they were going. He cleaned up what he messed up in her cabin, the water fading with a quick curse as he lifted the basin. "Now, I will go meditate and consider my own options. It wont be easy to kill the woman in her nest. Hopefully, your Palu has something interesting to offer." He said before walking out of her quarters to let her enjoy her rum. He didn't drink as it allowed for mistakes and he was above human drink after all.
At his joke she smirked back but stood up and gave him a nod. “Very well- I guess I’ll give you some energy to help out then I will go to Anna- or at least find her at the port we had been at last. I can only assume she will return to speak with the other set we known nothing of. I’ll protect her Ale. Might even tease your father a litttle for you.” She giggled before relaxing on the bed herself since she would let Alejandro have the evening as he wished to relax but she would stay around to help with his energy before she did leave... maybe tomorrow she would leave. ——- It took three days and a rather angry half siren who wasn’t pleased to have the water bound sea witch around her when he wanted that. They had a deal and she was obviously ignoring it. Niyol was pissed but she told him to have patience since they had company, he did but looked grouchy about it.
Sending Fox off the next morning was a rather sad experience. Even if it was strange to not have a familiar voice with him, he was used to being alone after Selene betrayed him. It would be easy to survive it again. He pulled his hat down to shade his eyes as he turned back to the crowd to disappear quickly into it. It was dangerous to be out in the open in a hostile port. But that was the beauty of it. Selene would never expect him to stay. Besides, the large population made it easy to find a contract if he needed one to lay low longer. He went to the nearest bar to scope out his options, looking for someone that looked down on their luck that was half-way decent looking. ~~~ Brutus woke from a heavy sleep against the bars of his cage when an angry screech came from the other room. He glared at the doorway as Selene stormed in, unbridled rage driving her towards the cages. It took her mere seconds to melt the lock on COle's cell door and to throw the door open. "You." She hissed, dragging Cole up by his neck, her sharp nails biting into his skin. "Selene, don't get heavy handed you need him to draw the captain and Ale in--" She shot a hand outt and suddenly a force threw Brutus into the cage door, sending him flying into the floor a few feet away, badly bruised and something broken he was sure. Selene looked back to Cole, her eyes wide and crazed. "The stunt your sister and your little contract pulled just earned you a very very bad send off, pet. You can have them to thank for your suffering." She growled at him before pulling him behind her into the sacrifice room, knowing she was going to make this painful. ~~~ Adriaticus knew the half-breed didn't like him, but prefered it to the pestering of the angry glares from the human former contract of his son. He hated her more than he did most humans, mostly because of her connection to his son and flat out stealing a piece of him. However, he was just pleased to finally be at the new port, as it allowed him to throw his senses out to find out just who this Palu was. While he couldn't leave the ocean, he could at least listen to what Anna had to say about this creature.
