A sigh shifted from Saxum's lips as he watched them shift. Such a pity...and he was doing so well with keeping to his promise, but this was something important so he figured it couldn't hurt. He would leave Adeliyah to her brother. That was a family fight that he would not get involved with unless he tried to kill her. The others though, Saxum had no trouble hunting down.
The tangy aroma of blood met his senses as Adeliyah was bitten. This bid him to action quicker as he closed his eyes and willed his body to transform. It wasn't a quick and painless shift like he had been used too. Slower than normal it felt as though he could feel every tendon, muscle, ligament, and bone moving and shifting in shape. Everyone of his cells burned and screamed at the sudden changing up shapes. A groan admitted from him, turning into a low growl as he finally made it into wolf form. Much larger than any natural sized wolf. Opening his now glowing golden eyes, he surveyed the world from a different height. Panting slightly, he turned his senses to the fight around him. He was bigger than some of them, Sameth he couldn't tell nor Adeliyah, though he had noted she had a beautiful coat.
Saxum, paced out of the kitchen, a low growl directed at the others. 'Come and get me little pups.' He barked out, his dark brown and black shaded fur making him look even scarier. Pearl white teeth bared, he crouched and waited to see what they would do. After all he hadn't been in a fight for quite some time. Least not in this form. So Saxum found it interesting to see how it would turn out. Wolfy Form

{ Pretty wolfiee } The taste of fur was strong in her mouth as she sank her incisors further in before drawing blood. Yeuck she was no vampire the blood of one of her own was not something she enjoyed. ' Do you weild?' She growled out at Sameth. Adjusting her body to pin him to the ground she watched Saxum out of the corner of her eye as he shifted. He was bigger then she herself was not that she really ought to be suprised. As Sameth moved from beneath her she barked warningly at him. ' Don't move or I'll hurt you. ' Why had she expected this to ever be easy. As he moved she barely registered one of the other wolves bit down hard on the scruff of her neck. Taken of guard her hold on Sameth lessened before he knocked her out of the way. Just peachy two against one. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the remaining two advancing on Saxum before attacking before she turned her attention onto Sameth. Now wasn't the time to worry about what was happening on the other side of the room as she concentrated on the two wolves before her. ' We can make this a blood bath or you can weild Adeliyah.' Sameth taunted. To weild would be submitting to her younger brother. That wasn't an option. Snarling she raced towards them biting and clawing at the two wolves. Ingnoring the surging pain in her leg she connected her paw across the brown wolfs back before delivering a sharp bite as her jaw clamped down on his leg. ' I'll break your leg.' She threatened him as he struggled against her. ' You haven't got it in you to do that.' Using her lack of confidenece against her the brown wolf moved swiftly slaming her hard into the wall. ' I'll break your leg along with many other bones.' He taunted before advancing on her Sameth close at his side. ' I think i'm in good fortune tonight. Your arm is broken is it not.'

These lycans did not play nice at all. Nor did they have the proper manners. A deep growl formed in the back of Saxum's throat. He caught site of one of the four wolves helping her brother. They shouldn't interfere in a family fight, he thought angrily to himself but dispatched the unneeded thought as the remaining to both leaped at him. His body still burned from the shifting and he was slower to react than normal. A set of claws grazed his shoulder, biting down hard, he snapped out and grabbed the attackers side, flinging him against the nearest wall. Feeling a nip at his other side he turned around and pounced, leaving no chance to wait and see what their move was to be.
He wouldn't be able to beat them off as easily as he might have before, but he was still strong, not slacking off on daily runs or workouts. He pinned one of the pups down by the neck, biting hard enough to hurt but not kill. He heard the other come up behind him and he kicked out his back leg, managing to cuff the lycan in the muzzle. Taking his chance, he glanced over to see how well Adeliyah was fairing. He knew that in a moments time, the one would be back momentarily and he would have to let go of this ones neck. 'Do you need me?" He called out with a sharp sounding growl, wanting to know if she was too hurt to continue. His shoulder burned as if on fire and his side was bruised badly, though as of yet he had no broken bones. Having no more time to look at the female, he let go of the neck he had been holding and swung around just in time to clap the second lycan on the ear. Though he payed for that with a deep bite to his left pack leg.
A short and painful yip came out of him though he turned around with a snarl, golden eyes giving a punishing stare. The feeling of warm blood in his mouth came and he bit down upon the weaker of the two, the pup flailing in his mouth. He would not kill him, but he knew how to knock a were out without using hands. The other scored on Saxum's back just as the wolf passed out. A loud growl emitted from him as he turned around, blood dripping from his mouth, stained white teeth bared. He looked like the devil incarnate, pure rage in his eyes now. This was not something he enjoyed doing. This was not something any alpha should have done to their pack members. Sure he didn't know what was going on, but this clan leader needed to be spoken to badly. They had attacked even Saxum without finding out who he was or his status. That was against his peoples code...though he was in a different place now.

There was intense pain coursing through her arm as she eyed of the wolfs warrily. There was no way this would end with an okay result. Either one of them would die or she would. Tensing she stepped away from the wall not liking being backed into a corner at all. As Sameth drew in to attack her again she moved hastily swipping out at his legs running her paws down them hard. With a growl she bit down onto his leg only to be knocked over by the other wolf. Every attack she made on Sameth was made useless as the second male attacked her. This was never going to work she wasn't strong enough to take on the two.
With the smell of fresh blood in the air her gaze lifted to the unconscious pup. At least he wasn't dead. She didn't need more blood on her hand. " Your friend is unconscious will you not leave now?" With an angry growl Sameth bit down hard onto her neck the other wolf jumping on her back biting and scratching down hard. Did she need Saxum's help. She was probably beyound help. Legs unable to support her she sunk to the floor whineing softly pain errupting everywhere. With the smell of her blood fresh in the air she gazed at her bloodied coat of fur before shifting into human form. " How pathetic." Sameth hissed. " I should kill you now."

Sneaking another glance as he side swiped the remaining lycan in the face once more. Choosing to ignore the whelp, he bounded towards Adeliyah, seeing and sensing her trouble. Without a second thought and despite his disliking of meddling with family affairs, Saxum tackled Sameth. Body jarring with the impact, he let out a moaning growl of pain. His shoulder seared with pain and somewhere along the lines one of his ears had gotten torn. 'Enough!' He barked as he pinned Adeliyah's brother. 'You shall not bear your teeth at one who has not the strength to stay in form.' He growled out, anger searing in his eyes. He was not quite sure what caused him to become so protective suddenly but he would not see her death tonight.
Baring his bloodied fangs, Saxum's golden eyes glinted in the light. 'Will you leave little one or shall I show you what I am truly capable of? You do not wish to anger me further.' He hummed, his threatening tone colored with pure honest confidence. He may have been out numbered but he would not let himself be picked off by little pups that had yet to understand the true meaning behind life. He knew that Sameth would note that Saxum was not quite in the best position to be demanding of their leave but he hoped for their sake that he would realize the shear potential of anger Saxum. Sure he was not an all powerful deity, far from it. He merely was an ex-alpha without a pack and nothing to loose if a whelp pissed him off.

Watching Sameth warrily Adeliyah grimaced her hand moving to her shoulder. Lacking the strength to sit up that small movement bringing her agonising pain she clenched her eyes shut blinking back tears. Crying, even despite the pain was something she would never do infront of someone. " You aren't allowed to kill me though are you. Or you would have done it this morning." Not liking how close he moved towards her she drew her knees to her chest turning on her side as she hissed loudly in pain. " Marklos would forgive me though for ridding the world of you. One less weak wolf is not such a bad form is it now sister." With a growl he moved closer to her.
With a yip of suprise he fell to the ground the impact of Saxum tackling him throwing him off balance. " One who can not stay in their form doesn't deserve it." Finding himself pinned he tried to throw the male wolf off him. " Sameth let's go." As his companions shifted in to their human forms he gave a low growl. " This isn't over." Shifting he shoved Saxum off him. " Fine we're going." None to happy he gave a sharp kick at the unconscious wolf. Get him someone."
Still to sore to move Adeliyah watched as Sameth stormed out of the house then the others followed suit one dragging the unconscious wolf behind him. Assessing her injuries she clutched her arm certian that it was at least disclocated. Biting down on her lip she pushed herself into a sitting position. Concealing a scream she grimaced paling some one. She'd never been this weak. Sameth was right a weak wolf such as herself was indeed a pathetic trait. Closing her eyes she leant against the wall for support trying to maintain consciousness as her head swayed.

'It is not uncommon for one to loose form after being dormant for a long period. It does not make them weak.' Saxum retorted and rolled as he was pushed off. Watching Sameth as he left and a few moments after, Saxum turned his attention to Adeliyah. She was obviously i a lot of pain. A low growl that turned into a heavy moan came from Saxum as he shifted back to human form, his shoulder bleeding and obviously damaged as he let it hang loose. There was blood running into his face from his torn ear and his shirt was practically torn off, revealing a spattering of bruises across his well muscles side. Walking with a slight limp he knelt down next to Adeliyah and without a word to her arm in his hand.
Gently he lifted it, ignoring if she protested any, and checked the damage. His eyes glowed as he sat in an almost trance like state, though there was obvious pain and emotional conflict behind his uncovered face. In this state, there was no mask to hide how he was feeling. Reaching out with his mind, Saxum found that her arm was broken, luckily cleaning. He used his gift to heal it some, saving his energy for other wounds, and numbing the pain slightly. "Show me where you hurt." He told her, his tone stating that he would not be denied. Healing was a very rare gift where he was from and a trait that was always welcomed warmly, though that had not been why he had been chosen as alpha. He tried to hide his ability at times but that didn't work and slowly he had built up a stamina for healing others. Though taking care of Adeliyah would drain him for a while.

His words were truth even if Sameth didn't believe them. It had been longer then four years since she'd lasted shifted. Did Sameth just expect her to have the same strength as before. It wasn't in her favour either that she'd just completed a night shift. Watching Saxum walk towards her she gazed at him tiredly. " You're limping." Realising he was equally as hurt as she was she dropped her head with a guilty expression before grimacing as he touched her arm. Then there was a surge of searing pain up her arm as Saxum lifted it. Hissing some she sucked in a deep breathe. " That hurt." With a flicker of irritation on her face she watched him suprised by the glow in his eyes. What? " You can heal?" Really she shouldn't be so suprised many wolves held special abilities.
Holding her arm some still she used her free arm to move behind her back touching her skin slightly. With a soft hiss she withdrew it her palm stained crimson with blood. " My back." As far as she could tell the wolf had done a good number on her back she could feel the deep wounds. He'd really scratched it to peices. " How badly are you hurt?"

Making sure that there was no internal bleeding, and hoping that he hadn't missed anything, Saxum turned his eyes to Adeliyah's now bloody hand. He grunted as she asked about him. "I have been through worse do not worry about it." He stated, a flicker of annoyance crossing over his unmasked face. His accent was thicker than normal as he was quite tired, gently helping her to move, he directed her in a soft whisper to get into a more suitable position for him to help with her back. He ignored her comment about him being able to heal, feeling that it was not the place nor time to talk about it.
He had noticed her guilt earlier but made no comment. She shouldn't feel so but he wasn't going to mention anything about it. Ripping the back of what was left of her shirt, it was obvious that Saxum was only thinking of help as he didn't waste time. Gently he pressed his left hand against the deepest scratches, eyes widening at the damage; the feeling of warm blood against his hands making him feel a bit angry. His voice sounded harsh as he cursed in his natural language and then began to press power into her wounds, healing the worst of the damage on her back. It took him about thirty minutes until he was satisfied that the worse had been fixed. Sweat dampened his brow and made his dark hair stick to it in locks. "Anywhere else?" He questioned, his voice soft as he tried to cover up his weariness and pain, though he was unable too.
He still had energy to continue, ignoring the caked dried blood on his face and neck. He moved towards Adeliyah's front. He was too tired to waste his energy on searching for wounds on herself and hoped that she would be honest with him. He would not heal himself either. He knew how to take care of it the old fashioned way and he would be able to cover most of it up for work tomorrow. Shadows lined Saxum's face as he waited for Adeliyah to answer, revealing more of the darker emotions welling through his mind. Memories of his past had surfaced during and after the fight, of how he had been attacked and betrayed. Dark emotions of anger and hate flickered as well, despite his attempts to mask them. He was still in a healing trance, unable to hide himself from the female. He was sore and open and he could not break the trance or else he would be of no more help.

Suprised by his evident annoyance Adeliyah fell silent regarding Saxum with a curious expression. Sure she didn't doubt for a moment he'd been through worse she however hadn't. Out of all the injuries she'd ever recieved the pain she was in had to top the rest. Broken bones here and there, but all of this was too much to handle. Closing her eyes she gave a grim smile. " I don't envy you then." She answered. Before when she'd been stronger injuries such as she had now wouldn't of happened. It worse it was the odd scratch and bite here and at worse a broken finger or two.
Brushing her bloodied hand across her jeans she winced some as he moved her. Reacting instantly as the stab of pain hit her she pushed away his hands her face contorted with pain. It was bad not that she dared ask how serious it was. Dropping her head she kept her eyes closed her hands clenched into tiny fists as she waited for the sudden neasueas feeling to pass. Her spine she was almost certian had slight damage to it also, the impact from the wall had hardly helped let alone when the wolf had attacked her.
Wincing at his touch she jerked away before stopping. It would do her no good to push him away again. Relaxing as best she could she tensed only slightly as he ripped her shirt and managed only the slightest hiss of pain as his hand pressed against her back. The stinging sensation was hurting immensely. No longer able to blink back her tears she stared intently at the ground as stray tears slid down her cheeks. How shameful it was to cry infront of someone Marklos would be most disgusted at her.
For thirty minutes she endured the pain while Saxum healed the worst of her injury sniffling only slightly in the end. Swipping away the tears she looked up at Saxum. What she saw was rather haunting the emotions on his face making her once again curious about the male wolf. He'd been an alpha of a pack, what ever had happened. Reaching out she gently touched the side of his face turning it to inspect the dried blood. " There's a cloth in the kitchen. You can use it to clean up." Pulling her hand away she closed her eyes once more using the wall to support her up to tired to care that her shirt was ripped and practically falling off. " No. that was the worst. I'm just sore and tired now." Rubbing her shoulder slightly she shifted into a more comfortable position. Once again the nagging feeling reminder her that he was an ex alpha. Her better. " You saved my life. Sameth would have killed me had you not intervened. " Such beautiful protocol. Not one wolf could dare say Marklos didn't raise his kids to respect their betters. Keeping her eyes closed she turned her head away from Saxum. " Which makes me indebted to you." There went her pride as she completely submitted to him. Shifting her eyes opened as she settled her gaze back on him. Sitting on the ground wasn't helping as she was beginning to get stiff and sore. " Could you help me stand?" She seriously doubted her chances of maintaining her balance, let alone standing up with out aide.

He had noticed the slight injury to Adeliyah's spine, being ever so careful to fix that first and foremost. It had taken most of his strength to fix it but he had and then added the majority of the healing process to the gashes in her back. He left some of the bruising as he had wanted to make sure that there was nothing else that needed his attention first.
He nodded to her about the washcloth but smirked with a short yet deep barking laugh. "If you are indebted to me than the only thing I ask is that you let me stay here for the remainder of the night." He told her, laughing inwardly at the fact that she had said that she was indebted to him. Sure the laugh had hurt him as was obvious by the twitched he had emitted during. He really didn't feel as though she should be indebted to him, sure he did help her out but he would rather not have their relationship start out that way. 'Though I guess it is too late for that though,' he mused with a sigh. Standing, he looked down at her when she asked for his help to stand.
There was no way he was going to let her stand even with his help, so despite his incredibly soar sides and back he leaned down and picked her up bridal style. The expression on his face made it obvious that he wouldn't take any complaining out of her though his mask was, for the most part, back up again. He remembered the way to her room and opened the door easily even with her in his arms. Setting her on the bed, he ran his hand through his hair, the other on his hip as he hunched over some with his head down. "Can I get you anything? I will not have you walking and undoing the healing that I just did." He spoke, his voice utterly tired but still strong, his will was that of a surviving beast, his eyes still bright as he looked up at her, with a slight smile. "Didn't think I would be escorting you to your bed our first night together, eh Adeliyah." He teased, trying to put some humor into the glum night.

It was embarrassing to be laughed at. Pursing her lips Adeliyah look up at him a scowl on her face. " I don't think it's funny at all." Really it had hurt her pride severely to speak those words and now he was laughing at her. Less then impressed she contemplated biting his hand hard. " Will I never be rid of you then?" Rather then getting angry she sighed some. " Okay. I do need your help."
Grimacing some as he picked her up she stared him down protesting some. " I can walk." She growled at him. " Put me down." She spoke crossly. Fidgeting in his arms she pushed lighty on his chest before grimacing again. Now that had hurt. With a sigh she relented giving up her protest as he carried her to the bed. Getting into as comfortable position as she could manage and ignoring the throbbing pain she looked up into his eyes. " " No I don't need anything." She spoke softly.
At his teasing words she raised her eyebrows slightly. " Hmm I suppose there are worse things then spending a night with you." She reasoned.

"I will leave you alone if you want but considering your brother and his lackeys have seen me than they are less likely to just let me go I would assume." He stated, not liking the fact that he had been drug into to this though he did have to reason with himself that he had offered to stay with her or rather, he had sort of forced Adeliyah to let him stay and make sure everything would be alright. It was a good thing that he had been here as well it seemed.
"You might be able to walk but you will not so my answer is no." He responded sternly to Adeliyah's demand that he put her down. He nodded his head as she told him that she didn't need anything. That was fine, the less he had to do the better really. He did need sleep though he doubted that he would be allowed to get any this night. His mind was far too preoccupied with thoughts on the fight from earlier to allow him to rest.
Smirking at her words, he touched her on the shoulder gently, willing the last bit of his energy to drain away in the form of pain relief and a sleep aid. His eyes flashed gold for a millisecond and then turned a very dull honey color. "I shall take that as a complement now sleep Adeliyah." He told her with a soft and almost tender sounding voice. Leaving her room, he shut the door and went into the kitchen to find a washrag. He picked one up and then rolled his eyes, walking to her bathroom and looking in the mirror. He grimaced, not liking the damage. He looked as though he had been through a war. Blood stain his lips and the side of his face was caked in blood. His shirt was near irreplaceable and deep cuts on his shoulder were red on swollen, blood dried around them. He didn't like the look of the bruises on his chest and stomach regions either though he checked and found that none of his ribs were broken. Time to clean up, he mused and began undressing. A shower, he figured, wouldn't be that rude of him right?

What was she to do argue with him till the cows came home to no avail. It was not at all nice not being listened to. She had legs, seriously what did she think she was an invalid. Pursing her lips Adeliyah stared Saxum down.
Sulking like a child she pushed the blankets down before pulling them up around her body as she got comfortable. " You're right." Saxum had embarrassed Sameth, the wolf would seek revenge for his hurt pride. Like it or not, and she certiantly didn't Saxum was now wrapped up in her messy life. It was puzzling though certiantly the measures Sameth was taking to get her to listen and return to the pack. It was literally painful to have to deal with him.
Wincing slightly at his touch she felt her eyelids grow heavy. " Cheat." She spoke sleepily. Rubbing her eyes she nodded her head obediently. " Fine." As much as she would preffer to argue and fight agianst his words she shifted on the bed getting comfortable as her eye lids closed giving into the need to sleep.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What had she expected to wake up feeling like? Refreshed and fully awake? With a groan of pain she turned on her side blocking out the bright sun rays. Seriously five more minutes would've been great. With a pout she slowly sat up her body stiff and sore. This was so not going to be her day. Reaching for her phone she dialed the number for the hospital ward she worked on. No way in hell she'd be able to function at work today let alone efficiently provide care for the patients.
Besides she had more pressing things to attend to. Like deal with Sameth. Swinging her legs over the edge of the bed she slowly stood up gribbing the bed for support. Not so bad she was just mostly stiff and sore. Tugging of her tattered shirt her pants followed suit before she turned her back to the mirrior inspecting her back intently. It shouldn't suprise her to see the purple splotches covering her bacK. Such ugly bruises she looked a right mess.

He gave himself a quick and scalding hot shower. The color of the water had been red as it flowed off of him, the cuts and bruises on his body stinging in response as well. When he had gotten out, his skin was a tad pinkish and he still didn't look much better. On closer inspection of his face, he found that his ear had been torn at the lobe, though that has pretty well stopped bleeding already. The deep gashes on his shoulder however were still oozing some and they looked to be slightly infected. Rummaging around in her bathroom, he round some gauze and medical tape. He would have to wait till later to fix up his shoulder more but after bandaging it up he felt that it would suffice for now. Wincing as he got dressed again, leaving his shirt off, Saxum walked out of the bathroom and sat down on the couch. He wasn't planning on sleeping this night.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hearing Adeliyah rise, Saxum laid himself down on the couch, trying to seem as if he had slept. It was in his nature to stay watch and he wouldn't have been able to sleep even if he had wanted too. He had already phoned the office, stating that he would be out for a few days on family emergency. That should give him some time to get himself out of trouble right? Well, he knew he would probably be called back within two days due to the nature of the hospital but he would take the time he could get.
Breathing slowly and softly, Saxum assumed a face up position of laying, one arm above his head, while the other was across his stomach. She probably wouldn't be too happy that he was shirtless but it wasn't as if he would have been covered with the one he had come in anyways.
